Long Drive Times to Rural Opioid Treatment Programs a Barrier to Access

In rural counties in five states in and bordering Appalachia, drive times to opioid treatment programs can exceed three quarters of an hour. This is significantly higher than in urban areas, and poses a significant obstacle to obtaining treatment in some cases.
