FDA Approves Noninvasive Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy for Acute Episodic Cluster Headache

The FDA released the use of the gammaCore noninvasive vagus nerve stimulator (electroCore) for the acute treatment of pain associated with episodic cluster headache in adult patients. gammaCore transmits mild electrical stimulation to the vagus nerve through the skin, resulting in a reduction of pain.
