Data from a recent animal study show that spinal cord stimulation (SCS) reduced chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) pain in rats.
Furthermore, SCS increased the anti-tumor efficacy of paclitaxel, a chemotherapy agent commonly used in a wide range of malignancies in humans, including advanced ovarian cancer, certain types of breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (Neuromodulation 2023;S1094-7159[23]00137-X. doi: 10.1016/j.neurom.2023.03.006).
