Data from an international meta-analysis indicate that there is a correlation between childhood trauma and experiencing headaches as an adult. Additionally, the study found that as the number of traumatic childhood events that one experiences increases, so do the odds of having headaches as an adult.
“Our findings confirm that childhood traumas are important risk factors for primary headache disorders in adulthood,” study author Catherine Kreatsoulas, MSc, PhD, of the Harvard T.H.
