Illinois Law Could Serve as Blueprint for Stronger Opioid Prescribing Protections

Illinois House Bill (H.B.) 5373—which amends the state’s Controlled Substances Act to offer more flexibility to prescribers in the use of opioids for chronic pain treatment—offers several benefits for doctors, primarily focused on chronic pain treatment and patient care.
