Focusing on Stigma, Bias and Social Determinants: A New Curriculum for Medical Students

To combat stigma, bias and social determinants of health in the areas of pain management and substance use, the LICENSE (Language, Impact, Communication, Engagement, Non-Stigmatizing, Effectiveness) curriculum has been put in place at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, in New York.
