Sympathetic Blocks Show Significant Benefit for CRPS

Sympathetic blocks provided substantial relief for patients with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), according to new research. The study also overturned two pieces of conventional wisdom: Skin temperature change is not associated with sympathetic block pain reduction, and response to sympathetic blocks does not predict success or failure of spinal cord stimulation in patients with CRPS.
