Acupuncture and massage are beneficial to patients with advanced cancer pain, according to the findings of the IMPACT trial (Integrative Medicine for Pain in Patients with Advanced Cancer Trial), with no statistically significant difference between the two therapies.
“Both acupuncture and massage have been associated with reduced pain, pain medication use and improved quality of life in patients living with advanced cancer; however, no difference was found between the two
