Psychosocial Screening Helps Predict Chronic Pain Risk In Lower-Extremity Fractures

Early identification of people at risk for developing chronic pain after a lower-extremity fracture has potentially gotten easier, thanks to a study from the University of Kentucky. Researchers there found that psychosocial screening can predict patients’ transition to chronic pain six months after lower-extremity trauma.
