Postoperative failure and complications may occur with spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implantation, according to data presented at the 2024 annual meeting of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, held in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“We looked at complication rates and compared them to those in the established literature, which can range anywhere from 21% to 63%,” study author Robin Mata, a resident physician at the University of Miami and Jackson Health, in Florida, told Pain Medicine News.
