Many of the more than 100 million homeless people around the world have chronic pain. A systematic review to estimate the prevalence and major types of chronic pain in this population found dental pain, followed by lower limb and back pain, to be the three most common types of pain reported.
The findings, which were presented in May at the annual meeting of the American Pain Society, in Austin, Texas, were culled from 10 studies involving 1,803 subjects. “We used liberal inclusion criteria
